[sci.electronics] A/D chip recommendation wanted

I'm looking for an 8-bit A to D chip that interfaces easily to a
microprocessor bus.  It should run off a single +5v supply and have a
way to multiplex/sample several analog inputs.

If you know of any such chips, would you please send me their names.

You may want to take a look at National Semiconductor's ADC0808 chip.
It has an 8 channel multiplexer on the inputs and a built-in sample and
hold cirucit and is microprocessor compatible.
