I am interested in the TOSLINK digital audio standard. I have access to a Sony tuner/amp with a digital input. Where can I find cables? How do I make something that can talk to this? Specifically, I want use this as a D/A converter with a computer (Amiga, probably with an extra CPU just to drive this). Any info would be appreciated. Pavel Rozalski pavelr@sco.com uunet!sco!pavelr

The standard is described in ref: "Fibre optic link for digital audio interface", IEEE Trans Cons. Elect._34_(3) August 1988. Sony and Philips make decoding chips. Cheers, Steve.
