Does anybody know if there's out there an emulator for the Z80 microprocessor that runs on MSDOS machines? I would appreciate it if you can give me the address of an ftp site where I can get it anon. Please note that I am talking about an emulator and not a cross- assembler. Thanks. -- ============================================================================== = Ayman Issam Kayssi = Email: = = Advanced Computer Architecture Lab. = ayman@caen.engin.umich.edu = = EECS Dept., Univ. of Michigan, Ann Arbor = ayman@eecs.umich.edu =

Don't most emulators require some hardware to run on, besides the
MSDOS machine I mean? anon-ftp? Simulators cost money.
HP make a MSDOS based emulator, product # 64753. Your local HP
sales office should be able to help you.

I know of no FTP sites for this program, but you might try simtel: There is a program called Z80MU which emulates a CP/M machine under MSDOS. It runs "reasonably" fast, though I don't have all that much cpm software to run under it (nor truthfully that much interest). There are two versions, shareware and payware; the payware version has some extra features, and is still being worked on (the shareware version was frozen). If it's not on simtel, I could find the address of the company that sells it. -- wiml@milton.acs.washington.edu Seattle, Washington (William Lewis) | 47 41' 15" N 122 42' 58" W "These 2 cents will cost the net thousands upon thousands of dollars to send everywhere.
