[sci.electronics] Looking for Boolean transpose chip

m22421@mwunix.mitre.org (Mike Foster) (11/02/90)

I'm looking for a single chip that does a 16x16 or 32x32 Boolean transpose.
That means that you write 16 words to it of 16 bits each, then you read
16 words. The first word read consists of bits 0 of all the words you put in,
the second word is bits 1, and so forth.

It's easy to make this with shift registers, but I'm looking for a single
chip to save board space.

Do you know of such a part?
