VGA monitors are now relatively inexpensive. I wonder about the possibility of a home video system (for home taping) that would record signals not as standard video signals for a TV, but as VGA signals. Presumably the required bandwidth would be much higher than for a conventional VHS or whatever system, but perhaps it could be acheived by speeding the tape speed up, at the expense of playing time.
