A friend of mine has a Sony TV with stereo output. When he connects it to his stereo's Aux inputs, the sound from the stereo is very quiet, unless he turns on the TV's volume all the way up, Of course he has a major surprise when he goes back to TV speakers. :-) Any ideas? The person from Sony said that all TVs are like this because the signal sent to the output jacks is too weak. Thanks for any info.

Check the levels, but a cheap magnetic phono preamp might boost things up to a reasonable level. There is probably a better solution, but this ons easy. But watch the levels, you might cook you Stereo Amp.
