I am looking for bulletin boards run by semiconductor firms. I have used the Motorola board and the Signetics 1-800 board. Both of these were chock full of goodies (68xx and 8051 stuff respectively). I know Western Digital has a board, but I know not the number. Does anyone know if Maxim has a board? Lastly, I need PAL logic design software. I hear that many companies have free packages for their small PAL families, but I don't know where to write. (A small, simple PAL is what I need...) While I'm on the subject, can anyone recommend a good intro to programmable logic? As PALs, GALs, PLAs, etc are not part of the curriculim here, I'm having to learn on my own . I will summarize any e-mail responses in 1-2 weeks, as I have final exams looming on the horizon.... Thanks! Larry Liska, Univ. of Houston

Lastly, I need PAL logic design software. I hear AMD BBS (Mostly 29K stuff) 800-2929-AMD you need to hand dial and enter 9 or something like that Western Digital 415-968-1834 National Semi (COPS group) 408-739-1162 TI (VLSI Systems Eng group) 214-995-4569 Adaptec 408-945-9229 Xilinx (?) 408-559-9327 Intel <?> 408-765-1696 Signetics 1-800-451-6644
