I have in my possession three motors from a discombobulated piece of equipment. They seem to be stepper motors tho I'm not sure. Here is the vital stuff: The shaft has a screw thread cut with square threads (of the high- precision type seen in screw-feeds for machining equipment -- no slop). The motor is marked as follows: 1214026-0-0 SM-024-0013-RS Impedance Protected 24VDC 1.2A Warner Electric Beloit WI 53511 There are five wires, red, black, yellow, brown, and orange. There's an eight-pin socket at the end (of the kind used to plug into PC-board pin headers). Looking at the plug from the front end one sees: ___________________ | Br | Or | Rd | Yl | NC = not connected | Bk | NC | XX | NC | XX = blocked with key. ------------------- Any guesses? I'd like to use these as steppers for a laser positioning system. | Bill White Internet: bwhite@oucsace.cs.ohiou.edu | | BUCY'S LAW: | | Nothing is ever accomplished by a reasonable man. |
