[sci.electronics] Turbo Express

garrett@cs.rochester.edu (Bill Garrett) (12/11/90)

I have a source for Turbo Expresses new theres about 20 left, leave
mail if you want info they are selling for list (249.95) which isn't
bad when you consider that some mail order places have started to sell
the limited stock for as much as 385!!!

Well, when I found the source I bought the machine, being a red-blooded
American and all that. I have a few questions and a few requests. Does
everyone have problems reading text or is it me?? A prime example is the
World Class Baseball (great game BTW) I can't read most of the stats or
even the speed of the last pitch. Also do people get a slight ghosting
effect from time to time. Notwithstanding these two questions this is
an incredible machine. I have a gameboy, a lynx and now a turbo express.

The gameboy has more games and until the other two I thought it was fun to
play. You can't go home again boys and girls. Play GB baseball or Bases
Loaded and compare it to World Class Baseball and you see what I mean.
I really want to like the lynx but the game selection still doesn't fit
me. The T.E. has a wide selection of games and the best screen also the
highest price. But it is actually worth it for the gorgeous screen, with
better specs then the TG-16 itself!!

Anyway I would appreciate mail from TE owners expressing their like/dislike
of the machine. I would also like mail from TG-16 or TE owners telling
me what are good games are what aren't. I don't have a TG-16 so I wouldn't
know.

Thanks,

  Bill

Yes, I had a hard time playing military madness until I played
it on my home system. Once I knew what things were supposed to look like
I was able to easily play the game on my TE with no problems, but
it was hard at first. Yes some of the letters are hard to read. But
most aren't (my games have big letters).

Games I own and like a lot.

	Neutopia A zelda like game.
Y's A CD zelda like game (great game!)
Military Madness A real fun strategy game.
Legendary Axe 2	A fun slash em up game. I don't like these
games too much but I like this one.
Games I own and like less.

Bonks adventure Fun but..... not my style of game.

Dungeon explorer	Not my style, but not bad.

Games I own but hate
	Keith Courage Pretty bad.........
