burris@ihopa.UUCP (David Burris) (11/25/83)

I am gathering information about multi-user micros. I would
appreciate any info on hardware and prices that can approximate the
following:

+ Support up to 4 users.
	+ Approx. 10MB hard disk.
	+ 1 or 2 floppy-disk drives.
	+ Letter-quality printer.
+ UNIX-like OS which supports available software packages,
i.e. DBMS, C, BASIC, Spreadsheet, Screen editor, etc.
		Primarily:
			1. Password Protection
			2. Search Path
			3. Named directories
			4. Good subset of UNIX-like utilities
			5. Multi-task/Multi-user
			6. Printer spooling.
	+ CP/M compatability a plus.

Any info will be appreciated. If possible, reply by mail and I will post
a summary if there is enough responses. Please include price if
available.

It sure sounds like you have described the Fortune 32-16 product line.
(It's really written with a colon - not a dash - but my editor has trouble
with the colon.)

We have all the software you mentioned, and full UNIX. We can easily
support 4 users, and with the "Comm B" option, you can CP/M. We use
a package called MIMIX (tm).

If you have any questions, please call me at 415 595 8444 x 526.

(To ARPANET: I hope this message wasn't too commercial. I'm on usenet.
There was no way to reply to the info request in less-commercial language.
