I noticed that Ford sells an optional alarm system with a little transmitter unit (which is intended to go on your key ring) which has two buttons on it, one to lock and the other to unlock the car. I'm guessing that other alarm manufacturers use this same unit. I would like to find out who the original manufacturer is for this. Any leads would be greatly appreciated! paul johnson Internet: paul@sdd.hp.com UUCP : {hplabs|hpfcla|ucsd}!hp-sdd!paul

I don't know about Ford's system, but Buick uses one from: United Technologies Automotive, Inc. 5200 Auto Club Drive Dearborn, MI 48126-9982 (313) 593-9600 This was written up in a supplement to the October ECN. The cover picture shows a receiver PCB (about 3"X4") and a keychain transmitter with buttons for lock, unlock, and trunk release. ----------------------------------------------------- Gordon S.
