[sci.electronics] SPICE Info

charlie@oakhill.UUCP (Charlie Thompson) (01/08/91)

Somebody wanted to know where SPICE came from:

Spice comes from Berkeley. Source is about $200 I think (I could
be wrong). I think the latest is SPICE2 or SPICE3 or something
like that. If you look in the back of Paul Tuinenga's book on
page 187 you can get the person to contact at Berkeley.

The Industrial Liaison Program here at Berkeley has a "Research Software"
catalog of a few dozen programs which have been developed here. You can
get it by calling them at (415) 643-6687 or writing to:

Industrial Liaison Program
Software Distribution Office
Electronics Research Laboratory
479 Cory Hall
U.C. Berkeley
Berkeley, CA 94720

You could probably also get a copy by sending e-mail to
cindy@janus.berkeley.edu

Whipping out my copy of the catalog, I see that there is SPICE3C.1 and
SPICE2G.6 for $200 and $150 respectively.
