[sci.electronics] Heathkit

dana@locus.com (Dana H. Myers) (01/11/91)

   The last time I went into a Heath-Zenith center, I was treated
quite poorly by the salesperson when he discovered I was interested
in a kit. I left and called the manager later to complain. He
apologized. I returned some number of days later. A different
salesperson treated me the same way. He was polite and helpful when
I asked about the computers, then decided he had better things to
do than help me with a kit.

  Needless to say, I haven't bothered returning to this store;
furthermore, the reduction of interesting kits has rendered
Heathkit useless. This is very sad, as the products they
once offered were quite good, and were very nice to build.

  I've built probably two dozen kits from Heath. I'll miss
them.
