[sci.electronics] PC Interface and DTMF

hbg6@citek.mcdphx.mot.com (01/22/91)

I currently am working on a personal project where I need my XT to
receive DTMF (touch tone). I have the circuit working fine feeding
the parallel printer port but I really want to put the decoder on
the bus. I have a few full length proto-boards but they do not have
the interface circuitry ( just a jillion holes ).

Could someone please give me a pointer to a source for an 8 bit bus
interface schematic ( or any other good ideas ).

Thanks in advance,
John

NOT the 'sender' line address!
Someday my sysadm will decide this is a 'real' problem. :-)

If you're using wire wrapped proto boards, JDR 800-538-5000 sells
wirewrap cards with the layout for address decoder circuitry. If you
buy the card without any decoder (which is what I do), they have
a slim help manual, which shows a lot of nice interface schematics.
If you're interested, email me your US mail address, and I'll send
you a copy, or if you're in a hurry, I can fax the stuff.
