I wanted to know if someone could reference me to a location where I can pick up a schematic for circuits that I can use to interface my own projects to my IBM computer. Or what is needed to hook connections directly up to the parallel port and/or Serial port on the back. Thank you for any info, either leave a reply here or e-mail me. I am sorry for having to repost this, but it seems that some terminals do not put a cr/lf at the end of the lines, so here is my post again! I wanted to know if someone could reference me to a location where I can pick up a schematic for circuits that I can use to interface my own projects to my IBM computer. Or maybe someone could tell me what is need to hook up connections directly up to the parallel and/or serial ports. Any books/magazine s covering this subject would be greatly appreciated. Pleas e-mail responses. Michael Roybal - University of Colorado @ Boulder Internet: roybalm@tramp.colorado.edu

Pleas e-mail responses. An excellent book is _Interfacing to the IBM Personal Computer_ by Lewis C. Eggebrecht, published by Sams. It covers both the PC and AT bus extensions and includes lots of schematics. Another source that might kill two birds at once for you is JDR Microdevices (see back of any Byte). They've got a board that comes complete with circuitry for interfacing to the bus (via and I/O port, I think). It's around $40.00 for the PC version. Jay Kubicky

It comes highly recommended. Eggbrecht was the fellow who went to a company in NJ that was planning on cloning the Apple II. He was on the IBM PC design team. Sounds like a winner to me. Regards.
