I'm a chemist who'd like to be able to measure temperature with a thermocouple or RTD and "broadcast" the measurement a short distance (<10 meters) from my lab to my office. Undoubtedly there are numerous ways to do this that involve all manner of expensive equipment, but I'd very much like to do it as inexpensively as possible. Since I'm not an electronics/telemetry whiz, I thought I'd ask some of you out there who are and who might have some ideas.
