[sci.electronics] Schematic capture/PCB autorouting

newton@ils.nwu.edu (David Newton) (02/08/91)

I am desperately seeking cheap, yet pretty good (90% completion min.)
PCB autorouting software, preferably with an integrated capture front-end.
If anybody has any used software of this variety, or doesn't mind pirating,
or likes a particular package, or works for someone who likes giving free
things to weird people, send me e-mail.

   Specifics:
Board size 16"x16" minimum, would prefer the so-called "gridless" variety of autorouting, algorithm not important, would like to be able to set costs of things such as vias etc., would prefer 4-layer minimum, could
probably live with 2 if the price was way cheap.
Definately would prefer integrated front-end schematic capture package. Would enjoy a SMT/PLCC/LCC library.
Something like Tango would be nice, but I don't really have the $1500 for the package I would buy. If someone else has this and doesn't want it anymore, make me an offer. Er, let me make you an offer rather.
Platform isn't _real_ important at this point. I could live with AT, Mac, Atari ST, Sun w/ Xwindows, RS6000 w/ Xwindows, Apollo dn4000 w/ big monochrome monitor (this isn't real preferred because it's slow and far away from me, but I'd live with it. I'm desperate.)...

respond via e-mail, I don't read news much anymore.

anyone who helps me out with getting ahold of something will have my undying gratitude and a loaf of my fresh-baked bread or anything else they want. Help! help!
