[sci.electronics] 8 mm Camcorders

I'm not sure if this is the right newsgroup to post this, but ...

I'm looking for recommendations on the best 8mm camcorder (price/quality)
available today (been looking into Sony and RCA (made by Hitachi))-would
be great if you've 1st hand experience with it. Thanks in advance.

A group that I regularly read that would be able to help you more
with your camcorder questions would be rec.video, if you get that at your
site. sci.electronics could tell you how the camcorder WORKS, and how to
build various interfaces for it and all that, and rec.video could tell you
which is the best one to purchase, where good prices on these things can be
found, and experiences that others have had with similar or identical
camcorders. You might also try cross-posting to sci.electronics and
rec.video, but set your followup to line to rec.video.

BTW, I don't have any 8mm camcorder reccomendations since I use S-VHS and
S-VHS/C here at home, but rec.video usually has a lot of talk on 8mm vs.
S-VHS (sometimes it degernates into a religious war!!)

good luck,
mike
