I recently read a book calle The Philadelphia Experiment, it describes a Top secret experiment in invisibility that supposedly took place during World War II. In one of the more credible chapters it describes the Biefeld-Brown Effect. Apparently this man, Townsend Brown, discovered that if a very high voltage is applied to a dielectric the dielectric tends to move towards the positive terminal. The book claims that he was eventually able to make some large dielectric discs float around in a circular path. My question: Does anyone know of this effect? The book is very specific about dates and show a picture of Mr. Brown but I can't find any mention of his work. I've looked in the Physics abstracts and Electrical Engineering Abstracts from 1924 -1930 when his research supposedly took place. Does anyone have any information on this? By the way the research took place at Denison University in Granville Ohio and the Proffessor helping him was Dr. Paul Alfred Biefeld. Thank you for any infomation you can give me Roy Tebbe
