I wasn't sure where to post this (sci.electronics was the most likely-looking group I could find), so if anyone has a suggestion for more appropriate places for this message, please let me know... I am looking for any information on MIDI driver chips, ie, chips that incorporate the basic common functionality needed to provide a MIDI interface (ie, buffering, command decoding, whatever). I also want to know if anyone has done any work on anything like a MIDI -> relay closure box, or a MIDI -> 0-10 volt analog output converter.
