[sci.electronics] Looking for Electronics Junk Stores in DC area

dave@seas.gwu.edu (David M. Owczarek) (02/20/91)

This is a wider distribution repost of an earlier post

When I lived in Boston, I used to shop at Eli Heffrons for miscellaneous
and interesting parts. Does anyone know of a similar store in the DC area?

For those of you who may not know of Eli's, it is a store that
buys lots of unused parts and old equipment (scopes, meters, computer stuff)
and puts it out in bins and on racks and you can just sift through
everything until you find what you want.

There are NO electronic surplus stores to be had in Metro DC.
The closest thing is Electronics Plus in College Park, and it's
closed Saturday!

I heard rumor of some in Baltimore.
