[sci.electronics] Who manufactures the TDA7000 FM receiver on a chip?

jasko@park.bu.edu (John V. Jaskolski) (02/20/91)

I am interested in acquiring complete data sheets for the TDA7000 FM
receiver chip. Does anyone know who manufactures this chip so that
I can contact them and get one of their data books.
I already have the Radio Shack information but this is not sufficient
for my purposes.

Thank You In Advance,

John V. Jaskolski

The TDA7000 poop sheet can be found in the Signetics Linear Data
Manual, Volume 1: Communications

The book also contain a couple of Application Notes related to the
device which you might find useful (AN192 and AN193).

An address that might work for ordering a book is:

     Signetics Corporation
     120 East Main Street
     Wappingers Falls, NY 12590-9990

     Attention: Publications Services

Also, the book lists a Sales Office in Littleton, MA (617-486-8411)
and a sales rep in Needham Heights, MA (Kanan Associates: 617-449-7400)

I haven't got a clue where these cities are... but if I were you, I
would first give the sales offices a call (try for a free book). The next
choice would be the sales rep (free book). Last choice would be the
company address (they might send you a book, but I suspect that they
would want to charge you a couple of bucks for it (I could be wrong).
Good luck.

Radio Shack used to sell the TDA7000. I see it in their 1988 semiconductor
ref. guide. It's probably discontinued, but it doesn't hurt to check your
local RS. If you're lucky, they'll have one remaining at a clearance price.
