CONFERENCE PHONE WITH ECHO-FREE COMMUNICATION I recently cameacross asleek conference phone called Voice Point Audio Teleconferencer made by NEC, that retails for about $ 1300. NEC claims that it offers an echo-free full duplex communication that tunes itself to the acoustics of the room. The result, it claims is that any number of people can talk at the same time and interrupting/overlapping voices are well defined and clearly transmittd to permit natural conversation.Some of the feaatures are: - A digital signal processing system to cancel conflicting echo/feedback signals. - Audio band of 300 - 3400 Hz - Transmit level of -15dBm - Volume control : 6 to 27 dB - 4 Microphones and 1 Speaker If any of you have used this, can you tell me how good it is? Can you explain how it really works and is really worth $ 1300 ? Are there other speakeor conference phones that eliminate the noise but are cheaper ?
