Did anyone see the show Computer Cronicles about a week ago when they did told about the T.I. speaking ad that was to be released in Business Week magazine. Did anyone get one of the ads and 'disect it?' I would be interested in a good description. What did it say, how long does it talk? how is the speech quality, etc. There is suppose to be another one sometime soon (a vodka ad?) what magazine? when? mitch -- +---------------------------------------------------+----------------------+ ! After all this discussion about voltage quintuplers and the like, an old project has resurfaced inside my head. Could anyone tell me where to get a schematic for a BATTERY powered laser supply? (or email, whatever.) I would want this to run a typical 2(or so)mw HeNe red visible laser tube. Apologies if this has been discussed, I just started reading this group. Also, in the 'next month' column of 9/90 Radio Electronics, they mentioned that they were going to have a article about building a battery powered visible semiconductor laser. However, these require a lens, no? and what kind of power and beam divergence can you expect to get out of these with a semi-inexpensive lens? Thanks, Jim elwood@cville.umd.edu -- Jim Bogard oper014@umuc.umd.edu jimbo@socrates.umd.edu elwood@cscwam.umd.edu disclaimer? I think UM has bigger things to worry about than my opinions.

In the March 1989 issue of Radio-Electronics, there was an article on building a "Universal Laser Power Supply" which ran on 12 volts DC. -- wiml@milton.acs.washington.edu Seattle, Washington | No sig under (William Lewis) | 47 41' 15" N 122 42' 58" W |||||||| construction

I'm looking for copies of Linear Application Notes from Fairchild. If anyone has ANY app notes (linear) please let me know ! You can't get these things through normal channels anymore. You can either send me a message to my electronic address, call me at 216-646-3559, or fax me a copy at 216-646-4343. I'm especially interested in a copy of APP-123 written by R.J. Widlar.
