I am looking for the name and phone numbers of some companies that sell videociphers (allowing you to make copies of video tapes). If you know of any please leave me e-mail! Dave Downin downin@dtoa1.dt.navy.mil

Videocipher is a system for scrambling satellite downlinks (HBO, etc.)
What you are looking for is called a 'Macrovision scrubber' to remove
the effect of the Macrovision copy protection scheme. They are also
useful if your (newer) TV goes crazy when watching a protected tape.
One of my co-workers bought the kit from D&D Electronics (800-332-3557, $29.00)
and is very happy with it.
