[sci.electronics] Information sought on Scott 210-B Dynaural Laboratory Amplifier

jps@dworkin.wustl.edu (James Sterbenz) (03/11/91)

I have just inherited a Scott 210-B Dynaural Laboratory Amplifier. It is
a vacuum tube amp (2x 6L6, 5V4, 2x 12SL7, 6SG7, 6J5, 6SG7, 6SQ7). It is
a momo amp, with a single set of input and output terminals -- what does
"dynaural" mean? On the front there is a "loudness" control, and in addition
a spearate "dynaural control" which is switched off when completely counter-
colckwise. The power switch has 6, 12, and 22 positions, presumably to
give different output levels. On the back of the chassis there is a "supp.
level" control -- is this the power supply voltage? -- how should it be set?
On the top of the chassis is a "hum adj." and "bal" control -- what is the
balance for?

Any information on this beauty would be greatly appreciated. If anyone
has a copy of the owners manual and/or schematics, I'l love to get a copy.

Please reply by email.

Thanks in advance,
James
