[sci.electronics] Bucket Brigade Chipds

coorswol@alchemy.tcnet.ithaca.ny.us (Curt Coulter) (03/13/91)

A friend of mine and I have been toying with the idea of making a
digital(sorta) delay for guitar applications. My question is if anyone
has any experience working with bucket brigade chips (Panasonic is the
only manufacturer I know of), and if so, sources of them (other than
Digikey).
Thanks

Reticom / EG&G-Reticom makes some better/similiar chips to the panasonic
3000 series. Better be prepared to pay... All in all, they are quite simple
to use. I haven't seen the panasonic 'book' in awhile, but the reticon
provides typical example schematics for some special effects boxes like your
looking at. From what i've seen, digikey has them in stock (rare) at a very
good price (very rare). I don't know of another mail order 'discount house'
that does either...,in this case.
