I need a cheap, low power 4-bit microcontroller for use in a battery powered thingamagig. It should have the ability to enter a low-power mode where it waits for an interrupt for an internal timer (an 8 or 16 bit timer would be nice). I need a small amount of internal ram (128 bytes), about 1K PROM, and either a few i/o lines or external address and data busses. The current in wait mode should be < 100uA running at 32KHz. (Vdd <= 9V). An internal LCD segment driver would be nice too. My IC Master has dozens of 4-bit CMOS uC. Would anyone care to suggest a particular chip which fits these requirements? thanks, -- +----------------------------+ | Kenneth W.
