Sometime ago there was a discussion about making an ionizer. Now, my question is this: Does the potential of the pins have to be positive and that of the plates negative, or is it the other way around? Perhaps the following will help: ------------------------------------------------ . ------------------------------------------------ . ------------------------------------------------ . ------------------------------------------------ The dots represent the pins, and the lines represent plates, as seen from above. The dust particles are supposed to be ionised by the pins, and since the air flow is from left to right, they get stuck to the plates when they pass between them. Does someone have the circuit for getting this high voltage using doublers in series? I have a conventional design, but I was wondering if anyone had anything different. Shailendra
