[sci.electronics] Help: need an 8 bit binary to BCD converter and can't buy one

V.Spagnolo@massey.ac.nz (Victoria Spagnolo) (03/26/91)

hi,
i am looking for an 8 bit binary to BCD converter. the only
reference i can find is in a nat. semi. 1987 databook for a DM74185A.
this will definately do the job but it seems to be obsolete and my suppliers
can't find anything that replaces it. some suppliers say they can still
get it but i must be a quantity of 300, which is unacceptable as i only
need 3.
so, if you can help in anyway please let me know, preferabbly
by email. i am open to all suggestions!
	thank you all

Shoot, if you only need three of the silly things, why don't you just
program it into a PAL? More expensive than TTL, but beats buying 300
items...
