[sci.electronics] Composite video to RGB + sync

wlsmith@valve.heart.rri.uwo.ca (03/26/91)

Is there an easy way to decode composite video into RGB +
sync so that I can use my RGB monitor? It is an Amdek
Color 2 (Hitachi CM-1472), with a little bit of circuitry on the
input side which I'm sure can be bypassed to enable analog RGB.
I've seen lots of linear video IC app's, but nothing with
`composite video in' on one side and `R G B + sync out' on the
 other. Any ideas?

Radio-Electronics (October, 1990) has a construction project that converts
NTSC to RBG.
