geurin@cod.NOSC.MIL (Chance) (03/27/91)

Does anyone out there in netland know of an Asychronous Communications
Controller IC that can be implemented with a minimum of external support
ICs (i.e. no microprocessor)? If so, please E-mail. Any/all ideas
greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Chance C. Geurin - N.O.S.C.

Standard Micro Systems makes a device called the COM8017/COM8502
which seems to be what you need. Call them at (516)-273-3100.
