To those who are thinking about getting the FM stero transmitter recently reviewed here, you should know that they are back ordered for three weeks.. So... Anyway, from a recent comment I see that you have to pick one of three capacitors in order to select the general frequency range you wish to transmit in. I'm sorry, but none of the other three transmitters I have purchased over the years require this. They cover the entire range continuously. Sure, I did have to wind tiny coils for those darned things, but they worked! As for this stereo transmitter from Ramsey, are there any coils that have to be wound? I have found this process to be a major problem, since a small deformity in your handiwork can throw the whole project off. Also, since they give you three different capcitors I assume it would be easy to just use one that would take you out of the 88-108 range and into uncharted (:-) ) realms ? My other kits have been so badly designed (read a hack) that any modifications tended to throw off crucial timing, etc. -------------------------------------------------------------------- steelie@bucsf.bu.edu --------------------------------------------------------------------
