I've been using it quite a bit with home made boards. It has worked very well, once you get it working. The major problem in getting started is making the cables, which are rather touchy, particularly regarding length. There are lots of helpful hints about the DDT-51 posted on the CCI BBS. They have the equivalent of a FAQ which should provide most of the info you will need. I've also made a lot of enhancements to the DDT-51 software and can send you a copy once you get your DDT-51 running. A few of the things that I've added are: symbols, the ability to read and write external RAM without resetting the CPU, and an upload command.
