I am building a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) feedback control system. Can anyone recommend a reference book or magazine article about PID feedback, especially stability aspects? E-mail would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are doing an analog implementation, try D'Azzo & Houpis' Linear Control System Analysis & Design. If you're going digital (better idea) try Astrom & Wittenmark's Computer Controlled Systems: Theory and Design. -- /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ Bruno Hall McGill Research Centre for Intelligent Machines bruno@moe.mcrcim.mcgill.edu Computers didn't replace red tape; they just perforated it.
