[sci.electronics] He-Ne Laser For Sale

ken@swbatl.sbc.com (Ken Gianino 5-9081) (04/03/91)

I have two He-Ne lasers and would like to sell one. I have a lot of hard
work in them and I like them both -so I'll let the net decide. Either
one for $100 (that includes shipping anywhere in the lower 48).

Number one is a 1.0mW max out Metrologic He-Ne(632.8nM) that was an OEM part in
a document scanner of some sort. I removed the scanning mirror and in
it's place added a 24VDC supply to run the laser's switching power supply.
Housed in the original Metrologic two-tone gray aluminum case (1 5/8"h
x 3 1/2"w x 10"l). Has mounting for photo tripod, beam shutter, AC
cord, power switch and "Caution" label. Never in scanner service, so
the hard-sealed tube is essentially new. No "extra" holes.

Number two is well built (by me) around a brand new Melles-Griot He-Ne(632.8nM)
hard-seal tube with a min power out rating of 0.9mW. Housing is black plastic
 (3.5"h x 8.25"w x 9"d) and looks similar to the green He-Ne power supply
in the Edmund Scientific catalog (bot. pg102, 1991 Annual Reference
Catalog for Optics, Science and Education). The tube is mounted in the
housing. Power supply is a simple, reliable design built on a custom
etched G-10 board. Includes beam blocker, key switch, power on indicator,
AC cord, external fuse holder, "Caution" labels, tube spec sheet and
computer plotted schematic. If you are not satisfied with the construction,
return it prepaid and undamaged for a full refund.
