[sci.electronics] Source of Photoresist/Developer Wanted

dont@loop.uucp (Don Taylor;644-7631) (04/16/91)

I am looking for a source of photoresist and developer. Quantities are about
a quart to start with. Previously used Kodak KPR3 with success but I am told
that Kodak sold out to 3M or Union Carbide or somebody. I am looking for more
than a tiny spray can @ $12 but less than a barrel.

I have tried to do my homework first. I called the distributors in the area
and they don't carry the stuff. One used to buy stuff from a local company
but can't exactly remember the name and there is no similar name listed now.
I checked the library but the entries in Technology Index don't appear to be
the sort to be interested in selling a quart to someone. I checked the local
retailers and found things like "only positive resist and negative developer
in stock and it isn't moving so we sure aren't going to get any more here" and
packing material that was newspaper from half a decade ago.

Thanks

Try Newark electronics. They carry a line of Kepro resist and developer
as well as etchant and presensitized boards.

I have also been looking for an inexpensive source of these items,
especially the photoresist (which goes for around 10 bucks a can around
here)
Thanks

I don't know if everyone got all the answers they wanted, but I would
recommend the following supplier:

    EDLIE ELECTRONICS
    2700 Hempstead Turnpike
    Levittown, NY 11756-1443

    (516) 735-3330

They have an interesting assortment of retail and surplus stock, and
several catalog pages devoted to PCB chemicals and equipment.
