The subject says it all... Anyone able to give me advice/references as to how I might make my own joystick? I would especially like to make something like a Maxxim flight yoke... I HAVE ascertained that 1Meg potentiometers are used... It seems like center position corresponds to about 50K ohms... Other than that, I don't know anything. Please send e-mail; I promise to post a summary. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Matt Meola UUCP: uunet!emtek!matt Emtek Health Care Systems, Inc. How to make a joystick? See the latest issue (July 1991) of _Science Probe!_ magazine. The Computer Scientist column by William Barden (P.14) covers not only how to make a joystick, but how to interrogate it from BASIC. His approach also covers how to use th joystick port to provide a cheap interface for up to 4 analog and 4 digital measurement devices (ie temperature (thermister), light (photocell), switch). This is a really nice magazine and is edited by one of the former contributors to the _Scientific American_ Amateur Scientist column. -Dave
