[sci.electronics] CCD imaging chips

Recently there was some interest in CCD imaging chips and what was
available. I have discovered that a number of companies offer such
devices but that by far the most promising I have seen is made by Texas
Instruments. They make at least 3, the TC-211, TC-240 & TC-241. One of
these is colour, the others B&W. They are relatively very cheap. I have
details only on the TC-211. Its is a 192x165 array (plus 12x165 dark
current pixels), it is about 7x7.5 mm in size, with 6 legs. I am told
they cost around $20 ! Unfortunately they require a fair amount of
support circuitry and may be a little tricky to get running. In Perth
(in West'n Australia) data sheets are hard to come by, so I don't have
much info on this. Anyway the chips definately look worth investigating.

BTW: If you get a system with one of these chips running, or even just a
complete circuit diagram for such, then please tell me about it.
Preferably by e-mail (else this newsgroup).
