[sci.electronics] HP 6284A manual?

mcovingt@athena.cs.uga.edu (Michael A. Covington) (06/02/91)

Does anyone have a manual, or at least specs (% regulation, etc.)
for an HP 6284A power supply?

I bought one at a hamfest today for $40, then came home and found it
in the Tucker catalog, used, for $625. Not too bad.

				0.01% + 250 uA
	Ripple & Noise (PARD) (rms / p-p)
				200 uV / 1 mV
				2 mA rms
	Drift (stability)	0.1% + 2.5 mV
				0.1% + 7.5 mA
REMOTE CONTROL FEATURES
	Resistance Coefficient	200 Ohm/V +/- 1%
				500 Ohm/A +/- 10%
	Voltage Coeffiecient	1 V/V +/- 1%
				0.33 V/A +/- 10%
Speed, Increasing V	No Load: 30 ms, Full Load: 80 ms
Speed, Decreasing V	No Load: 400 ms, Full Load: 100 ms
GENERAL
	Overvoltage Range: 2.5-23V, Margin: 4% + 2V

				$0 for 230 VAC input
				$80 for resistance programming

You can try HP Direct (1-800-538-8787) to get the manual, but they
typically need a part number.

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with power supplies and the above
should be considered a posting of someone that happened to have an HP
catalog handy, not an HP employee.
