A while ago there was discussion of the schematic for those little
devices (usually built into a modular phone Y-connector) which cut
the line to your answering machine when you pick up the phone. These
devices have two LED's and two diodes inside. Were the diodes 11V
Zeners? I remember reading that here, and it's a strange voltage
(not to mention difficult to find a zener rated at that value).
