Subject: NEW audio service for TECHNOGEEKS!

A new audio service devoted to those with an interest in electronics
will begin later this month on Spacenet 3, Transponder 21, 6.2 audio.
Topics will be mainly Ham Radio and Satellite Technology, but programs
about computers and other techy things are in the works. It will be a 7
day a week service, beginning at 6pm Eastern time and running til
2:00AM. On weekends, the service will begin around 9AM and run til
2:00AM the following morning.

The channel is being put together by the same people who run the QSO HAM
RADIO show on Monday Nights on S1/15.

You can write to them at:

    QSO Ham Radio
    P.O.B. 254
    Syracuse, NY 13215

Tel: 315-673-3752

The channel will be advertiser supported, though they are currently
taking donations. People who have old satellite and ham equipment have
been donating it to the service, and they then auction it off to the
highest bidder. While it is definately "Amateur", not only in its ham
radio content, but also production values, and the audio quality is
quite poor at this time, the programming has quite a bit of promise.
The "Let's Talk Radio" segment will allow YOU to have your own show.
You pick the topic and YOU take the calls.

They also plan to "Uplink" ham radio nets, including the TVRO net. In
addition, they will have ham radio classes, and with the new NO CODE ham
license, this would be a great way for bringing some new techy blood
into the ham radio fraternity. Since LOTS of people blend the technical
hobbies of Ham/Shortwave Radio with Computers AND Satellite, this new
channel promises to be the Technogeeks Haven.

That's S3/21@6.2 audio... STARTING SOME TIME LATER THIS MONTH......
