[sci.electronics] H.261 supporting chips available?

Geir.Pedersen@use.uio.no (Geir Pedersen) (06/23/91)

The CCITT standard H.261 specifies a video codec. Codecs based on this
standard are going to be used over ISDN and will replace the current
generation codecs being used in public and private 2Mbit/s (US: 1.54
Mbit/s (?)) video-conferencing systems. The first commercial products
based on this standard is now becoming available.

I am interested to learn about chips to support implementing a codec
based on this standard. I would also appreaciate hints on trade journals
where one could expect to find such information.

Thank You,

Geir Pedersen.
