We have a couple of broken DECStations around, broken beyond repair. However, I think it's rather unlikely that the picture tube is damaged. So, is it possible to remove the tube from the DECStation, and drop it into a normal monitor (or vice versa, that is, put the electronics from a "normal" monitor into the station), so that I can put those nice 20" monitor to work again? I mean, I have a helluva respect from high voltages and all that stuff that lurks around TVs and monitors -- is it safe to just remove a tube from one device, and replace it by another one (not the same type, but larger). mjl
