[sci.electronics] US Memory supplier

jdy@itd.dsto.oz (John Yesberg) (06/29/91)

Here at DSTO (in Australia) we are after some suppliers of Memory who can
get the stuff to us really quickly, instead of waiting 12 weeks. We are
(currently) only in the prototyping stage, so the orders aren't all that big.
Does anybody know of a really reliable, well stocked retailer, probably
in the US, who can supply us?

In particular, we are after 80ns and 60ns 8Mb (2Mb x 36, yes 36) SIMM modules,
which are produced by Motorola and Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi part number is
"MH2M36CJ-8".

Surely retailers will want to get into this market, as 8 MByte parts must
eventually become standard parts for workstations.

Our distributors don't appear to be very interested in selling such things.

If people want to mail to me, I will summarize to the net.

John Yesberg.
