Back in the '70s at BTL ( which has since become ATT/BL or ATTIS )
there was a group lead by Berkley Tague ( not Berkeley :)
which put out the Unix Support Group version of Unix/tm.
It has since become the Unix Operating System Department,
the Unix Development Laboratory, and may be a whole
division by now. The curious thing is that the number of mts ( Member of
Technical Staff ) working on the technical side seemed to be (mostly) constant,
with more planners, testers, documenters, integraters added.
