| You should be aware that the Usenet is being read in Japan.
| It's readership is impressive and growing. I had this made clear to
| me in recent meetings. Theirs is a culture which takes a much
| different view to electronic mail and news than we do. You will not
| see many postings because to express one's opinion means to carry
| great weight (unlike here). So if you (general readership) care to insult
| them, they will read it. You will just be ignored as a crank.

1) I *AM* aware that usenet is read in Japan. comp.windows.x regularly
gets postings from Japan, as well as France, Britain, Australia,
   and other countries.

2) I responded to a request as to why the US ignores the Japanese TRON
effort. I agreed/disagreed with the reasons mentioned, and gave
some of my own. These were reasons pertaining to why the US does
not seem interested, and the attitudes behind that. I am sure that
   the Japanese readership realizes this.

3) Disregarding talk.bizarre, I do not post lightly. Nor do I have
much sympathy for those who do so in newsgroups such as this.

4) I am sure the Japanese readership is fairly aware of the US
computer community's reactions and feelings, so I haven't let
   any big secrets slip.

5) Finally, as I pointed out, I *am* interested in TRON. SO, either
you misunderstood me, or I misunderstood you. Either way, if there's
more to say, let's use mail, or a relevant newsgroup.
