Hello, I recently saw a posting to quics concerning some software written by Brian Berliner called CVS and would like to here more about it. CVS manages software revision and release control in a multi-developer, multi-directory, multi-group environment. It is designed to work on top of RCS Version 4, but will parse older RCS formats with the loss of CVS's fancier features. The posting said to see Berliner, Brian, 'CVS-II: Parallelizing Software Development,' Proceedings of the Winter 1990 USENIX Association Conference for more details. How do I get this paper? I am under the impresssion that CVS is on the GNU tapes. Is this true? If the source is available is there an archive site which would have it (I have access to ftp)? The reason I think that CVS is from GNU is that the above paragraph was taken from the Jan '90 GNUsletter. Does qrcs have the same format as the RCS found on UN*X boxes? If so, is qrcs based on Version 4 (I seriously doubt this)? Any information concerning CVS would be appreciated.
