I should like to implement MEX+ softkey definitions to set up other key definitions, e.g. KEY K="KEY Q="QUIT^M"^MKEY O="STAT RUB OFF^M"". The point of this is to set up MEX with customized softkeys when calling a particular remote system. The problem is the "quotes within quotes" which MEX cannot interpret correctly. One solution would be to specify a LOAD NAME.KEY within a softkey string, but that is slower and requires and extra file to be maintained (NAME.KEY). Does anyone have any ideas how this problem may be avoided. Specifying characters within the keystring definition with the binary /O option does not help. Gordon Marwood
