A few days ago I posted my suprises with ZCPR3.3 and it's required new assemblers (I guess both ZAS and Z80ASM will do), I got curious what actually happened to the old assemblers. To me this is quite a change with older versions of ZCPR, but we all know, one day the old 8080 code will be replaced by Z80, and by Z280 and HD64180... Now, I am curious how many people that read this messages actually do still use assemblers, and if so, which one. I only knew of ASM, MAC, RMAC and M80, but know we need either ZAS or Z80ASM. Also a public domain Z80MR is available, but there maybe more. I would appreciate some responses, and will summarize to the net in a couple of weeks when things slow down. It seems that I was a rather oldfashioned user, and that most of the community has changed to the more modern assemblers. Let me know. I use M80, mostly. Not sure what version, but it's old. Can't afford to spend a lot on a hobby. All these commercial users are ruining it for us hobbyists, I think sometimes:-). /kenw
